2015 Hog College Home Run Drive

The stands of Crane Pavilion were full for the  Hog College Home Run Drive. All Hog College boars and gilts were paraded together in one ring to vie for honors and showcase some of the most elite swine genetics.

A three-member panel chose the individuals they felt best represented its breed and the industry for the “Chairman’s Choice” award.

Collegiate judging teams also chose a “College Choice.” The team closest to the panel’s placing will receive a $100 cash prize and subscriptions to Seedstock EDGE and Breeder’s Digest.

The Chairman’s Choice and College Choice Hog College Gilt was the Yorkshire gilt driven by Dan Burzlaff of Iowa.

The Hampshire boar driven by Ron Iverson of Iowa was named the Chairman’s Choice Hog College Boar.

Johnathan and Tyler Triggs, Iowa, won the College Choice Hog College Boar with their Spot boar.
