I would\u00a0preferably like to focus on a career\u00a0involving youth and livestock.<\/em><\/p>\n Q:\u00a0What are you most excited about for your internship with the NJSA?<\/strong><\/p>\n A:\u00a0<\/strong>I\u2019m excited about meeting new people while working with the NJSA team. I also am looking forward to working with the youth and being able to build lasting friendships with people in the swine industry.<\/em><\/p>\n Q:\u00a0What is something people would not typically know about you?<\/strong><\/p>\n A:\u00a0<\/strong>I like to experiment with cooking different food, particularly anything barbecue.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jessica Harsh – NSR Marketing & Communications<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Q:\u00a0Where are you from?<\/strong><\/p>\n A:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>Radnor, Ohio – a small village north of Columbus.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Q:\u00a0Where do you attend school, and what class are you in?<\/strong><\/p>\n A:\u00a0<\/strong>I attend Purdue University and will be a senior in the fall.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Q:\u00a0What are your majors?<\/strong><\/p>\n A:\u00a0I have a dual major in agricultural sales and marketing and agricultural communication.<\/em><\/p>\n Q:\u00a0What activities are you involved in at\u00a0college?<\/strong><\/p>\n A:\u00a0<\/strong>While at Purdue, I have been\u00a0involved\u00a0with <\/em>Purdue Ag Ambassadors, the Block &\u00a0Bridle Club, am an undergraduate teaching assistant and work as a Communications Intern for the Agricultural Economics Department.<\/em><\/p>\n Q:\u00a0What are your future plans within the next five years?<\/strong><\/p>\n A:\u00a0<\/strong>After graduating from Purdue in May 2016, I plan to attend graduate school with a degree in agricultural communication, education and leadership. After earning my Master\u2019s degree, I would like to stay in the agriculture industry, focusing on education outreach and\/or marketing and communications.<\/em><\/p>\n Q:\u00a0What are you most excited about for your internship with the NSR M&C Team?<\/strong><\/p>\n A:\u00a0<\/strong>I am looking forward to helping producers market their business to others in the industry as well as getting to know the purebred swine industry better. I am also excited to\u00a0learn about the many hats and opportunities the Marketing & Communications Department caters to for\u00a0NSR.<\/em><\/p>\n
