The spirit of Christmas seems to rush through your veins once December rolls around. Right after finals the college students return home with their families. Everyone seems to be singing joyful music, watching Christmas movies, and of course prepping for the upcoming holiday. Stringing Christmas lights and decorating the tree becomes one of the most important things to do on our never ending checklist. During this holiday the Christmas spirit will strike each and every person at some point before Christmas Day. Everyone always has some pep in their step, more than usual. People also don’t forget about the less fortunate as they donate gifts and food for the holiday. This selfless, joyful attitude that is associated with Christmas is what I love most about the holiday season. Even though I do enjoy snow sculpted livestock and selfies with pigs in Santa hats, the spirit that fills the air is incredible! Just for a brief moment within the year people seem a little nicer. They all seem to care a little more. A time when it becomes more about giving than receiving. It’s a time when a community comes together to celebrate. Everything seems merry and exciting during this time. That’s what I look forward the most during the holiday season.
