Assuming a national leadership role of an organization of more than 12,000 youth from across the country is a big responsibility. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to sharpen your leadership skills, improve your communication skills, and develop decision-making skills that will help you the rest of your life. You’ll also work closely with a team of eight other talented individuals that may become some of your best friends for life. Serving on the NJSA Board is an awesome experience it’s also an experience that we want you to take seriously so the members of our organization are served by the best leaders possible.
The Youth Advisory Board is comprised of industry veterans who serve in the capacity of an advisor for the NJSA and serve as a liaison between NJSA members, parents, supporters and staff. They also advise NJSA leadership on organizational changes and improvements and submit recommendations to be considered by the NSR Executive Committee and they assist in the development of long range strategic planning of the NJSA. Each NSR Youth Advisory Board member is able to serve a maximum of two (2) consecutive terms with each term being three (3) years in length.
