Description:Do you love the purebred swine industry? Have a passion for working with youth? Enjoy facilitating programs and planning events? Then, the Events & Education Internship is meant for you! The Events and Education Internship will provide experience in planning and executing shows and events of the NJSA, the nation’s largest youth livestock organization. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to assist Events & Education staff with planning The Exposition Junior Show and the National Junior Summer Spectacular, as well as help lead the NJSA Junior Board of Directors and write Youth Spotlight highlights. This internship provides experience in event planning, communications, education, outreach and livestock show production.
Job Requirements: Required travel and show attendance includes The Exposition and the Summer Type Conference and National Junior Summer Spectacular. A valid driver's license is required.
Qualifications: Applicants should be college-age students majoring in animal science, agricultural business, agricultural education or other related fields of study. Applicants should be hardworking and self-motivated, detail oriented, innovative and work well with the general public and youth. Applicants should have a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.

The NSR Field Staff Internship provides on-the-road experience traveling the country with full-time NSR Field Representatives, and opportunities to both learn from and contribute to field activities. Responsibilities include visiting purebred swine farms and AI boar studs; assisting at NSR-sponsored events including The Exposition, NSR Summer Type Conference, assisting at state fairs across the Midwest; and other field staff duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Extensive travel is required, and a valid driver's license is required.
Qualifications: Applicants should be college-age students majoring in animal science and/or a related field of study, with a strong interest in a swine industry career. Must be hard working and excel in time management and organization, as well as have strong interpersonal and networking skills and a professional demeanor. The NSR Marketing & Communications Internship provides the opportunity to work with the M&C team to customize an internship program that will focus on the skills needed to build an individual’s professional portfolio. These opportunities include feature writing for Seedstock EDGE, advertisement design and page layout, magazine production, online content development, photography, social media management, live show coverage and more!
*Several projects such as show reports and feature stories are required for all interns.

The National Swine Registry (NSR) and National Junior Swine Association (NJSA) are accepting proposals for official photography and video coverage of their shows and events beginning January 1, 2027.
The initial contract will cover January 1 through December 31, 2027, with the opportunity to renew one year at a time through December 31, 2030. Each renewal will be determined by NSR and NJSA based on performance and event needs.

The selected photographer or photography team will provide:
Coverage must continue across all scheduled rings and activities identified for an event. The selected team is responsible for staffing simultaneous activities adequately while also capturing backdrop photos and delivering results photos promptly.
NSR and NJSA publish results as soon as possible at the conclusion of each show. The selected team must provide usable photos of champions and reserve champions to designated NSR and NJSA staff and social media specialists as soon as they are captured. This includes coordinating delivery during shows with multiple rings, where results may be awarded close together.
Before each event, the photography team and NSR/NJSA staff will agree on a delivery method and identify the people responsible for sending and receiving photos. A team member must remain available during the show to coordinate delivery and resolve issues. Delivering results photos only at the end of the day will not meet this requirement.
Applicants must explain their workflow for selecting and delivering photos during a show, including how they will handle simultaneous rings and connectivity challenges.
NSR and NJSA publish results while shows are underway. Real-time photo delivery is a core requirement of this contract.
The selected team must provide usable photos of the winners identified in the applicable punch list below to designated NSR and NJSA staff and social media specialists as soon as they are captured. Results photos should generally be delivered within 10 minutes of the award or presentation photo being taken, unless show flow, connectivity or another circumstance outside the photographer’s control prevents it.
These punch lists identify the photos needed for real-time announcements. They do not represent the full photography coverage expected at each event.

Before each event, the photography team and NSR/NJSA staff will confirm the delivery method, file organization and individuals responsible for sending and receiving photos. At least one team member must remain available throughout the show to coordinate delivery and resolve issues.
Holding results photos until the conclusion of a show or show day will not meet the real-time delivery requirement.
Applicants must explain their proposed workflow for selecting, labeling and delivering these photos during each show, including how the team will manage simultaneous rings and limited internet connectivity.
NSR and NJSA are looking for a team with a positive attitude, a willingness to work long show days and the ability to collaborate closely with staff, volunteers and social media specialists. Photographers should be professional and approachable with exhibitors and families, responsive when schedules or priorities change, and dependable about delivering photos in time for real-time results.
Proposals must identify the number of photographers and any support staff proposed for each event, along with their roles. The staffing plan should explain how the team will cover simultaneous rings, backdrop photos, candid moments, video and photo delivery without gaps in show coverage.
