The NSR is excited to announce that The Draft Virtual Sire Sale Preview will take place Sunday, May 9 on Walton Webcasting. The Draft Virtual Sire Sale will take place on Friday, May 14 at Lucas Oil Statium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Live online bidding will be available through CCi Live.

Friday, May 14: The Draft Virtual Sire Sale at Lucas Oil Statium, Quarterback Suite, Indianapolis, Indiana. Social begins at 5 p.m. with the sale to follow at 6 p.m. Bidding will take place live at the event or online bidding will be available through CCiLive.
Entry Information
- Open to purebred and crossbred boars
- The NSR staff reserve the right to make the final selection of boars offered and the sale order of lots.
- No purebred entries will be eligible to show or sell without a registration certificate.
- CROSSBRED BOARS: A documented stress test is recommended but not required at time of entry. Stress status of boars will be listed in the show and sale catalog.
- If an exhibitor has a NSR account that is past due, funds from the sale of their animals will be applied to their past-due account.
DNA Stress Statement
- No known stress positive or stress carrier Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace or Yorkshire animals will be allowed to be exhibited or sold at any NSR-sponsored event.
- Such warranty is, however, solely that of the seller and not that of the American Landrace Association (ALA), American Yorkshire Club (AYC), Hampshire Swine Registry (HSR) or the United Duroc Swine Registry (UDSR).
- The ALA, AYC, HSR and UDSR assume no responsibility or liability in connection with such warranty by the seller.
- If any NSR purebred animal sold in The Draft Virtual Sire Sale is found to be a carrier of the stress gene, the purchaser has the right to receive full refund of the purchase price from the seller.
- DNA testing for the stress gene must be done within 60 days of the sale date and all costs associated with testing for stress must be paid by the purchaser. The seller has the right to review the test results and the right to re-test the animal at a laboratory of his/her choice. Cost associated with re-test by the seller is at the seller’s expense. There will be no refund of NSR commission from stress-carrier animals.
Purebred Breed Eligibility Requirements
- No purebred entries will be eligible to show or sell without a registration certificate.
- By entering any purebred hog in The Draft Virtual Sire Sale, the owner warrants that the hog meets specific breed requirements.
- Such warranty, however, is solely that of the seller and not that of the ALA, AYC, HSR and UDSR and the ALA, AYC, HSR and UDSR assumes no responsibility or liability in connection with such warranty by the seller.

- If any Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace or Yorkshire animal sold on The Draft Virtual Sire Sale fails their respective breed DNA testing policy approved by the USDR, ALA, AYC and HSR, the seller agrees that he/she will promptly refund the full purchase price to the buyer. There will be no refund of NSR commission from animals that fail their respective breed testing.
Sale Details
- All animals submitted and cataloged for the sale MUST go through the auction. Sale commission will be 15% for all animals. If an animal that is submitted and cataloged for sale does not go through the virtual sale ring, the exhibitor will be banned from exhibiting at NSR events for one year and will be charged 15% of the average selling price of the virtual sale. This amount must be paid before reinstatement will be allowed.
- The NSR acts only as the agent between buyer and seller. If proper payment is made by the buyer in a timely manner the NSR will make settlement with the seller in approximately 30 days after the sale.
- Transportation should be arranged between buyer and seller. NSR will strive to develop potential transportation solutions and announce those at the time of sale.
