In order to participate in NSR or NJSA events, all exhibitors must possess a Premise ID. All animals exhibited at NSR and NJSA events must be identified with a federally approved, permanently numbered eartag. Also, NJSA members must complete Pork Quality Assurance+ (PQA) training or Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training annually to participate in NJSA shows. All contests information can be found in the NJSA Handbook.
- Barrow Weight Limit: 215-290 lbs.
with a 15 lb. weigh-back
- Crossbred Gilt Weight Limit: 375 lbs. or less
with a 15 lb. weigh-back
- Limit per Exhibitor: 6 gilts per exhibitor with a limit of 2 crossbred gilts and
6 barrows per exhibitor with a limit
of 2 crossbred barrows. Exhibitors must show one purebred for everyone one crossbred. Does not have to be gender specific.
