Meet the Staff
Bailey Craft, Events & Education Manager
What is your favorite aspect of your role with the NSR?
Well, I haven’t really gotten my feet wet yet – but something that I believe will be my favorite aspect is being able to meet new people and create a lot of great relationships through the industry. Our folks in the industry often time becomes family, and that is truly irreplaceable.
What is one thing that makes you excited about your job?
I am super excited to have the chance to work with our youth and see everyone grow and develop professionally overtime. One of the greatest things about working with our youth/interns etc. is seeing how they grow personally and professionally. Knowing one day, these kids will be our peers and run this industry is amazing, and something we should continue to elevate.
What was your involvement in the swine industry before your time with the NSR?
Growing up, I showed horses and livestock at the state and county levels. During college, I interned with Smithfield on the live side, then went on to work with JBS on the Consumer Value Added side, as well as the Fresh Pork side. Focusing on production, logistics, forecasting and customer relationships and more.
Please list your spouse and children (fur children included).
Wiley – Aussie/Border Collie
Where did you go to college and what was your major?
I attended Northeastern Junior College and received my associates in Agriculture Business, then went on to the University of Wyoming where I got my bachelor’s in agriculture communications with a minor Agriculture Economics.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Outside of the office, you can catch me doing just about anything. Going to livestock shows, travelling, shopping for jewelry and spending times with friends & family!
Where is your favorite place to visit or where is your dream vacation?
A favorite place to visit would be two places. Lake Powell, UT – it has beautiful scenery, plenty of do, and contains a lot of fun family memories from growing up. Another place would be National Western Stock Show. This livestock show feels like home. I have a lot of great friends
that all come together during this time of year. It’s a stressful time, but those are the times that remind you your friendships haven’t changed.
One place I would love to visit would be Bali! Seems so serene, beautiful and nothing like we have here in the US!
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Steak, funeral potatoes, and roasted asparagus. Simply put.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I can do the worm.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I am super excited to be joining the NSR family and work with all of you! This industry has really
created some incredible people, and I can’t wait to get to know and work with everyone!
