Why Run for the NJSA Junior Board of Directors?

By ellen@nationalswine.com | Published February 4, 2015

I attended my first NJSA National Youth Leadership Conference in 8th grade and had such a great experience I have been hooked on the NJSA.  I was able to meet many kids who had the same interests and passion that I do, and then we learned about the swine industry by touring companies and listening to speakers.  I immediately saw how important the NJSA Junior Board is to running events for youth and made a goal to one say serve on the NJSA Junior Board.

The NJSA Junior Board has given me the opportunity to continue to make connections and meet people.  I have made great friends and I had the opportunity to help many younger exhibitors in the show ring.  Every minute spent in the NJSA is very rewarding.  I am honored to serve as your At Large Director on the 2014-15 NJSA Junior Board of Directors and I look forward to my involvement in the future.

Side note:  If you want a weekend full of friends, fun, and pigs; you should highly consider attending the National Leadership Conference held in Ft. Collins, Colorado April 10-12, 2015.
