Louisville is one of our favorite towns to visit! Typically if we are in the area, it has to do with some sort of livestock show, but there are a lot of other awesome activities to do in Louisville as well. Check them out!
We think this 17 mile, man-made cavern underneath Louisville is a pretty awesome way to experience the city! Whether you want to go zip-lining, rope climbing or take a tour to learn more about history, geology, mining, recycling and green building technology this is your place to explore.

While the Kentucky Derby may be over, there are still a lot of fun things to do at the race track. You could visit the museum, go on a Saturday night for events open to the public, take a tour and more!

While you are visiting Churchill Downs, be sure to hit the Kentucky Derby Museum as well. They have an assortment of collections from the race and an abundance of history within the confines of the walls. They are most recently welcoming the 2015 Kentucky Derby winner, American Pharaoh, to their story of the world renowned horse race.

If you are interested in attending a baseball game at this show, you’re in luck. While the show is going on the Louisville Bats minor league team has games at the ballpark all week. Go enjoy America’s favorite past-time one evening!

An inspiration to many, Muhammad Ali stands as a role model to be whatever you want to be. The museum is a multicultural center that is dedicated to his life, and it is sure to be an uplifting experience with preservation of his positive ideals for a successful life.

Celebrating its 101st birthday in October, the Belle of Louisville is the last true Mississippi river boat that still runs. It is located in downtown Louisville and you can enjoy a nice dinner and sightseeing opportunity for the evening.

Explore the stories of some of the game-changers of the world right in Louisville at the Frazier Museum. It holds memorabilia such as the original “Big Stick” of President Theodore Roosevelt, the family bible of Daniel Boone and so much more. Go sharpen your history knowledge with this fun museum.

Fourth Street isn’t just a fun place for those over the age of 21 to go after everything is done for the day. There are a number of great restaurants like a Brazilian steakhouse, Hard Rock Café and quite a few other, different selections. Also, there are occasionally concerts there.
