WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The National Swine Registry announces the hire of a new field representative. Michael Lackey of Parker, Colo., will promote the purebred use of Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace and Yorkshire swine as well as provide technical assistance to breeders primarily in Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas, as well as other Western states.
“Michael brings to the position many years of experience in different facets of livestock production, and a real passion for the purebred swine industry,” NSR CEO Darrell Anderson says. “We are excited to have someone with his background and personality joining our team and representing the NSR and its members.”
Lackey obtained a master’s degree in animal science from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, and holds undergraduate degrees from Colorado State University and Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colo.
